What We
Offer Schools
Write Well, Write
Now is a company dedicated to one goal: The teaching of writing. We
believe that the majority of high school students in the
United States
can achieve college level writing skills and can be taught to easily pass the
California High School Exit Exam and their SATs. We also believe that Junior High/Middle
School students can be taught true high school level writing skills so they are
prepared for advanced education while in high school.

Practice – Critique - Revision
|
| |
We believe that the only way to achieve high level writing skills is through a
multi-step process:
-
Authentic writing practice
-
Critique by a qualified, credentialed teacher
-
Multiple revision opportunities
-
Grammar lessons assigned based upon student needs
-
Punctuation, mechanics, sentence structure, etc. lessons also assigned based
upon student needs…
-
Test-taking opportunities offered through multiple choice questions on ¾ of the
assigned lessons
-
One fourth of lessons should involve authentic writing practice (we're not a
worksheet corporation)
-
Weekly student reflection on his or her learning
Without one-on-one attention on each and every paper and written product, the
vast majority of students do not progress as writers. We value our
school teachers, but understand that they have many, many students and little
time to provide individualized instruction.

| |
 |
Individualized Instruction
|
| |
We offer a powerful advantage over any other writing instructional program:
Individualized instruction for each child. It's like having an IEP
for each Write Well, Write Now student.
|
| |
 |
Watch Student Progress Online
|
| |
Seeing is believing. We allow administration access to their own
students' work. Administration (and the student's teacher) can view
student scores on lessons, see the entire copy of rough drafts, read the mentor
teacher critiques, and read all subsequent revisions on all papers assigned.
Why?
Because we believe in our ability to teach writing. You will see
growth and have statistical evidence of progress: 24 hours a day, 7
days a week.

Higher Order Thinking Skills Increase
|
| |
Our writing program was designed to increase literacy skills (with multiple
weekly opportunities to read and communicate in writing) and to increase higher
order thinking skills: application of knowledge, analysis of
concepts, synthesis of information and facts, and evaluation of the quality of
the written product, it's effect on others, and of complex ideas and concepts.
Write Well, Write Now offers strong educational methodology combined with the
numerous advantages of high technology coupled with good old-fashioned
excellence in teaching.
Knowledge.Confidence.Preparation.
